“Movin’ and Groovin’ with Three LEDs”

“Movin’ and Groovin’ with Three LEDs” is a project that bridges the communication between Processing software and Arduino software. Utilizing basic knowledge of a beginner’s Arduino kit as well as more advanced concepts in relation to Java programming and the Processing software, I was able to combine a few of my favorite things: hands-on building, problem solving, programming, and of course, music. Any song (MP3) can be imported into the program. The blue, green, and red lights represent the kick, snare, and hi-hat, respectively.

The creative project demonstrates my technical versatility in various engineering disciplines, as illustrated by the programming and the hands-on building with the Arduino, Breadboard, and LEDs. Also, the project exemplifies one of my strongest qualities: determination. The building and programming required lots of trial and error, often resulting in feeling frustrated or being stuck. However, this project is a great example of how the frustration is worth it in the end, especially when I get to see the final result.
